This is a short policy because we collect very little. We are a family-owned business collective, not an advertising business, and the only reason we ask for your details is so that we can reply to you.
What we collect
When you use the contact form we collect the name, email address, company name and message you type into it, along with the reason you select. If you tick the box asking for occasional notes, we record that you did.
We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell or rent any information, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Why we collect it
- To reply to you. We aim to answer within two business days.
- To keep a record of the conversation, so that if you write again someone knows the history.
- To send occasional notes, only if you asked us to. No more than four a year.
Confidential inquiries about selling a business
If you contact us about selling a business, what you send stays with the family and the small number of advisors we are legally required to involve. We do not shop the information. We do not circulate a teaser, we do not add you to a list of opportunities, and we do not discuss your business with brokers or intermediaries.
If you would like us to delete the correspondence after a conversation ends, say so and we will.
Who else sees it
The people at the collective who need to answer you, and the service providers that operate our email and any customer-records system we use. Those providers process the information on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for anything else.
We do not share information with the operating companies unless your message is for one of them, in which case we will tell you we are forwarding it.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept while it is useful and reviewed periodically. Marketing consents are kept until you withdraw them. Anything you ask us to delete, we delete.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the occasional notes using the link in any of them, or by replying to say stop.
- Ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it, and we will.

Cookies and measurement
This website sets no advertising cookies. If we add analytics, it will be configured so that measurement runs only with consent, and this page will say so before it does.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be summarized here rather than quietly rewritten.
